My work is my passion, I sail my whole life and currently as a skipper in the canals of Amsterdam. How nice is it to share this passion with guests and let them experience the unique and beautiful city of Amsterdam. As your host I will receive you on board of Flint and provide you with all necessary information about the boat and of course about Amsterdam. You are most welcome and would love to see you on board. You can check in between 15:00 and 17:30. If you would like to check in at a later time, this can be arranged by prior arrangement.

Property info

Motor yacht 'Almaz' is a classic and atmospheric boathouse with all necessary facilities. The yacht is located in the east side of Amsterdam. It is a quiet and guarded port located just 3 kilometers from the center of Amsterdam. It is even possible to make a round trip with "your own houseboat" with Gros as skipper. The best way to experience Amsterdam is from the water. Obviously you can book a canal cruise with the saloon boat that I use in Amsterdam.

Neighborhood info

Our marina is located on the beautiful "Nieuwe Meer", a large lake on the outskirts of the city and on the other side the famous 'Amsterdamse Bos'. This man-made forest is a great place to wander around and enjoy nature, while on the other side you have the energetic and vibrant city centre of Amsterdam. Many guests find this the perfect combination during their visit to Amsterdam. Amsterdam - Venice of the North Amsterdam consists of more than one hundred kilometers of canals, about 90 islands and 1500 bridges. They call Amsterdam "Venice of the North". The three main canals, the Herengracht, Prinsengracht and the Keizersgracht were dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age. More than 1550 listed buildings are located on these canals. In 2010, the Amsterdam canals were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It underlines what we all already knew: The canals of Amsterdam are a world class monument!
