SWEETS hotel is a one-of-a-kind hotel dotted across Amsterdam in 28 different bridge houses, built along and on Amsterdam’s canals between 1673 and 2009, each one distinctively designed in the architectural style of its building period. Due to centralization of bridge control, the bridge houses lost their original purpose of working space for the city’s bridge keepers. SWEETS hotel reuses this industrial heritage by transforming the bridge houses, all connected by Amsterdam’s waterways, into stand-alone hotel suites with unique interiors, designed with the architectural history of the tiny building in mind. Due to their unique locations, all bridge houses offer a spectacular panoramic view across Amsterdam's canals.

Central Station is only 9 minutes by bus and 20 minutes on foot. Bridge house Willemsbrug was built in 1928 in the 'Amsterdam School' style, well-known amongst architecture lovers. It has noise level 'medium' and inside this local icon, you will find a cosy hotel room with everything you need, including a comfortable double bed, a bathroom, a pantry and a seating area in the large, original windowsills. All sorts of basics like towels, body wash, dishes, cutlery, coffee and tea are provided as well - feel free to use them! On every third day of your stay, our housekeeping team drops by on electrical cargo bikes for a basic cleaning check and to supply fresh towels. Cross the bridge for a stroll down the ‘Haarlemmerdijk’ – one of Amsterdam’s most popular shopping streets – or head out in the opposite direction for the leafy Westerpark, where you might even bump into one of the many festivals that are hosted there.
