Norddal is a quiet place to stay, but still close to famous Geiranger, Trollstigen and Trollveggen. If you would like a day in the city, Ålesund is nearby. Molde and the Atlantic Road are also close. The area has a lot of short or longer walks, depending on what you prefer, with a spectacular view over the fjord, waterfalls or the surrounding mountains. If you like marine life, you can rent kayaks at the local shop and get a great experience at the fjord. Herdalssætra, a part of the UNESCO heritage, is also nearby, where you can meet a lot of goats, discover traditional farmlife and buy local products made in Norddal. Down at the fjord we have the best spot for a nice bath during the day or in the evening sun. There is also a restaurant in the village, Petrines Gjestgiveri. They serve dinner from local products if you are too tired from walking in the mountains and do not want to cook dinner yourself. You can also go for a beer at Melchiorgarden afterwards. This is all within walking distance. Another great experience is the sauna in Tafjord, after a walk in the mountains you can take a bath and book a spot in the sauna.
