Knut and Ligia Hesla welcome you a unique and wonderful place, where you can live and experience a typical and traditional place of Norwegian culture. Here you can find a beautiful Viking-style estate, so you can live with your family and feel a country life time. We are at a strategic point between the two main cities of the country, which are Oslo and Bergen.

Property info

Hesla Farm is the oldest farm in Gol. It is more than 1000 years and it`s belonged to the Hesla family for 700 years. The 7 houses have been renovated since 2016 and 2019, with materials that conserve the architectural and historical heritage of the houses in Hallingdal. By doing tourisme we have the oportunity to share part of the norwegian culture and at the same time maintain the constructions, traditions and it`s authentic. The farm lies 5 minutes walking from the city center, where you can find restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, public transport and is 2KM from the railway station.

Neighborhood info

The farm is close to many trails, such as Møllebakken (which starts from the center of Gol to the ski center and chuch, with beautiful views) and the trails in Tuppeskogen. Not far from the church is also the Folkemuseum; meeting of old houses. Gol is approximately 30 minutes drive from Hemsedal, Golsfjellet and Geilo, where conditions are ideal for cross-country skiing and for the strongest ski excursions in winter. It is also the perfect place for fishing, cycling, bird hunting on own land and mountain walks during the summer.
