IMPORTANT: Guest must bring their own bedlinen and towels. Summer road all the way to the cabin. In winter, the road is plowed all the way up, weather permitting. In case of severe weather, parking is available at the parking lot by Rødungstøl Høyfjellshotell (approx. 200 meters away) for a fee. It is usually easy to walk from the parking to the cabin, even during the winter. Pets are allowed on request, for extra fee, NOK 100,- per night ABOUT THE CABIN: This cabin is beautifully located in the area called Rødungstølen, 1100 metres above sea level and with a panoramic view towards mountain area Hallingskarvet and the lake Rødungen. The area is well-known for its fantastic nature and in winter the cross-country ski tracks stretches over 150 km of mountain terrain. Mountain roads up here, offers those who like to go on bicycle trips or hiking, many routes to choose from. Bathing is possible in many lakes as well as angling.

Ål is a village in steeply sided Hallingdal valley in the Buskerud region of Norway. The Ål area has around 50 trout fishing waters both in the valley, the rivers and on the mountains. Ål is a three hour car journey from Oslo or around four and a half hours from Bergen. Visit Ål in winter and you won’t be short for things to do, even if you are not a fan of skiing. Although the area has a great selection of downhill and cross-country options there are plenty of other winter activities to enjoy, including one of the longest toboggan runs in Norway. You can also try your hand at ice fishing in the Rødungen North (among others) in the Bergsjø area. In the summer, Ål is the perfect place to get back to nature. There are so many outdoor opportunities to explore, most notably hiking, fishing and cycling! One of the key summertime activities in Ål is trout fishing and there are many areas to explore. Ål is a great location for cycling, especially mountain biking and there is a bike park in the village. The hiking around Ål is fantastic and all enjoy commanding views of the countryside.
