Helen grew up in the Waitomo area and was joined by John 26 years ago. Helen is a passionate artist, enjoying a range of craft. John took early retirement from the energy sector once his children had graduated and found employment. He likes his food and wine, and that passion is shown in the fare available. They are well traveled and enjoy meeting guests and exchanging tales. Also located on the property is one over familiar young cat cat and his senior companion.

The Inn is a purpose built bed and breakfast located on a ridge on the outskirts of the Waitomo Cave village, overlooking the glorious Waitomo rural countryside. The driveway is steep, but concreted, and any size car can manage it. The view however is worth it. As with any traditional inn, we offer lodging, food (in this case a breakfast that guests rave about), and drink( award winning wines and a rang of NZ craft beers), and a common area for guests, free of the owners affects. We have four rooms, individually themed. We are not a hotel. In fact a recent guest described us as being the antithesis of a hotel. If you want the traditional services that a hotel offers, and do not want to mix with other guests, we are not for you. If however you want to enjoy the company of other guests, or the hosts, and are open to our individually themed rooms, and want accommodation with heart and soul, we are keen to meet you. The Inn has only four rooms and has a common guest lounge and garden area. It is ideal for people who want to enjoy the company of other people.

We are half way between the Legendary Black Water Rafting and the main Waitomo Cave. 400 m to our right is Waitomo Adventures who operate the Lost World adventure, with the Legendary Black Water Rafting a further 600m. To our left is the Huhu, the offices of Spellbound, the Waitomo General Store, the Kai Cafe and Bar, Caveworld, the Information Centre, the museum, and finally the main Waitomo Cave itself. Walking is very popular and safe to all these activities.
