Ashley’s Retreat offers a lovely framed view of the turquoise Lake Tekapo and the mountain ranges beyond. This cute cottage has contemporary open plan living with a full kitchen and dining area. Floor to ceiling, double-glazed doors and windows are perfectly positioned to allow guests to soak in the views under the big sky, receiving plenty of light and sunshine all year round. Guests are spoilt with a very well equipped kitchen including the ease of gas hobs & instant gas hot water. A flat screen TV with surround sound, DVD player and a selection of DVDs, board games and reading material will keep everyone entertained when not out exploring the Mackenzie area. In summer cool breezes waft through its large glass doors and in winter its ample sized log burner warms the entire open living space. Outdoor dining furniture is set on the large elevated wooden deck which captures all-day sun, complimenting the outdoor experience. A large carport provides covered access to the house and there is plenty of easy-access space for boat parking. By prior agreement this pet-friendly accommodation also welcomes well-behaved dogs. A small nightly fee applies - please enquire. Tekapo’s dog park is within walking distance, ideal for your morning walk.

The alpine village of Lake Tekapo is renowned for its extraordinary starlit night skies, stunning turquoise lake and majestic mountain ranges. You can enjoy winter skiing & skating, summer swimming in the pristine lake, all year round star-gazing, fishing, hiking, soaking in the hot springs, golf and generally relaxing in the tranquil environment. A day trip to Mt Cook (New Zealand's highest mountain) is a must.
