Sunsets are absolutely spectacular and offer the camera many chances to capture memories. Each of the two cottages and apartment have separate views and locations on the property - please peruse each for a further detailed description and images. Wifi is limited and free on the property, because of our rural setting our broadband service is fairly slow but sufficient for communication purposes. Please ensure you receive or visit our website for directions which are imperative to bring with you - your celllphone might cut out 5 - 10 minutes from here. The directions are specific to driving up our drive to knock on our door, we look forward to showing you to your cottage and amenities. All cottages are fully self contained please ensure you bring all foods for your stay. There are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There are two hot tubs - Scandinavian is free for all guests to share and the portable Kiwi hot tub for your private location for hire (please book) - neither are suitable for elderly or disabled guests Thank you

Bethells Beach is only 40 minutes from Auckland's CBD - it is a wilderness area and as such there are no shops or restaurants in the neighbourhood (our accommodations is fully self contained). Great exploring, relaxing location with sublime sunsets and the odd green flash, summer sea and lake swimming. There are two hot tubs. The Scandinavian hot tub is for all guests to share or the portable Kiwi hot tub is for hire, Set up in your chosen private location, fill with fresh rain waters and heat and show you how to use. John and Trude are happy to suggest exploring with your personal needs in mind. Bethells Beach and O'Neills Beach are surf beaches and have Surf Life Saving Patrol in summer. The nearest shops, cafes and restaurants are 20 minutes drive from here and a further 10 minutes will take you to a great selection of restaurants and world glass vineyards. Auckland city is great for exploring also. Drive into Swanson and catch the train to Auckland city. Please bring the directions and your foods and let us know your estimated times of arrival and leaving - each cottage/apartment has out door wood fired bbq for summer cooking. Summer beach café is great - weather and dependent.
