I absolutely loved my stay! My room was incredibly spacious, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The highlight for me was the large, relaxing tub—perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine. The shower was fantastic, with amazing water pressure that made washing my hair a breeze. The small kitchen was a great bonus, equipped with plenty of extras to make my stay even more convenient. The location was lovely—just a short walk to plenty of shops and restaurants, plus you can catch a cool ocean breeze directly across the street. Check in was beyond easy and everyone was extremely kind. Would definitely stay here again.

It was perfect for me as a solo traveler, although it is a 2 bedroom… the hosts left some lovely i think homemade pickles, cheese crackers and milk which was a very nice touch. It was quiet and very close to the beach.. about a 10-15 minute walk to the town… i loved it and would highly recommend this tiny home

Lovely place to visit, the town itself is nice and there are many places to eat. The beach is wonderful and there are enough walks to keep one occupied. Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve is a magnificent walk.

Orewa is a very nice place to visits.

Orewa is a very nice place to visits. Cafes, the nice beaches to explore, supermarket just there to get your stuff, walks all over the places. Plenty to choose what you want to do. A day trip to Auckland CBD with buses is possible.

An excellent, very long, white sanded beach with children's...

An excellent, very long, white sanded beach with children's playground attached. Excellent shopping centre with diverse restaurants, eating places and supermarkets - all within easy walking distance from the beach. Plenty of free parking available both at the beach and in the township.

Orewa is obviously exploding in population now that Highway...

Orewa is obviously exploding in population now that Highway 1 has gone split-lane nearby. That said, it was super easy to get around the town, the beach was outstanding, the neighborhoods all had great walking/cycling infrastructure and paths, and the food options were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Orewa has been our getaway place for 40yrs.

Orewa has been our getaway place for 40yrs. Changed a lot, but the walks are flat and facilities as good as the City. Untold cafe's, eateries and shopping. My advice, park the car and walk everywhere.

Orewa is a mecca for bars, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Also for takeaaways of all types. The beach is definitely one of the best especially for children as it is safe. Orewa is also at the gateway to The whangaparia peninsular with its beautiful coves and nature trails. Great area. Can also acces the NX1 bus into central Auckland. Buses run to the late evening so another great benefit

Our host was friedly and adviced us on the use of the washing machine and barbeque. Orewa and Red Beach are "beach resorts". Silverdale is just an Auckland suburb behind the beaches. For us the location was good, suitable distance from the North (Kerikeri, Waitangi, Russell) in our way to explore areas south from Auckland. The place is also close to shops including well stocked Woolworths for food.

The Beachcomber is in a great location in Orewa...literally across the street from the beach. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and kind. Nice to be able to park our car within sight of our room. We really enjoyed our stay in Orewa.

My single room was clean, comfortable, and incredibly quiet—ideal for a restful night’s sleep. The location offers the best of both worlds: complete rural serenity, yet only 15 minutes from Orewa. It was easy to enjoy the beach and the local dining scene before retreating back to the peace of the resort.

Great 2 brm apartment (booked a 1 brm). Excellent full kitchen facilities, and washing machine and drier in the bathroom. Balcony big enough for a table and 2 chairs, and excellent views over Orewa beach. Sky TV, which is a real plus for us.
