The guest area is upstairs, private and quiet; there is a small balcony room off one of the bedrooms. A private quest bathroom. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outside seating on the deck as well as join us in the shared lounge and kitchen. The downstairs bathroom hosts a claw bath to relax in. There are laundry facilities if required. We allow outside smoking.
We have a pet cat, Lulu, who loves attention. We don't mind children, but please note that guests must be aware of the stairs. We love meeting new people and welcoming them into our home.
We are only a short walk to the Humpridge track office, local Tuatapere Bar. Tuatapere has a great 4 Square, takeaways at the Hungry Hippo and not to forget the Waiau Town and Country Club all facilities only about 500 meters. Hiking: The Hump Ridge Track, a 3-day loop walk, offers stunning views and a chance to see the Percy Burn Viaduct, the largest remaining wooden viaduct in the world. Water Activities: Enjoy jet boating on the Wairaurahiri River and across New Zealand’s deepest Lake Hauroko. Nature Exploration: Explore the native bush with walking tracks, including the Tuatapere Scenic Reserve Loop Track. Local History: Visit the logging museum and learn about the town's sawmilling history. And much more.
