You'll love this one of a kind log cabin, nestled among the pine trees, in a private retreat. Homewood Forest Retreat is just 5 minutes from Alexandra and the Otago Rail Trail, 10 min from Clyde and an hour from all the attractions of Queenstown, Wanaka and the ski fields. Homewood guests are able to explore the forest and cycle trails, relax in the spa pool under the spectacular night sky, enjoy a magical picnic among the pines and so much more…

Paul and I are the proud new owners of Homewood Forest Retreat. We are easy going and keep to ourselves. If we are not at home we are usually out biking, hiking, skiing or fishing. We respect our guests privacy and will take your lead on the level of engagement you prefer. Our aim is to ensure you have a wonderful relaxing stay full of magical moments. We look forward to hosting you!

Alexandra and surroundings offer a wide range of activities. Take a walk up to the iconic mountain clock, enjoy a game of golf on the treelined fairways of Alexandra golf course, cycle through beautiful forests and mining relics along the gorgeous Clutha River or the famous Otago Rail Trail and Roxburgh Gorge Trail. Treat your tastebuds to some fine dining or enjoy the cosy cafes inside charming historical buildings with incredible local wines and craft beer. And in the winter months the Central Otago area becomes a breathtaking winter wonderland with easy access to New Zealand’s best ski fields or go ice skating at Ice Inline in Alexandra….
