Marianne and Rene love to meet you and make you "Feel Home Away From Home!". You will love this place with two spacious, modern and private bedrooms en suite in a quite setting combined with a large lounge with attention to detail to make you feel welcome. They have created a wonderful experience with plenty of privacy too.
This Bed and Breakfast is well known for serving a varied and delicious full cooked breakfast with all home grown produce including their own fresh juices, milk, cultured yogurt, fruit and nuts to ensure a good start of the day. Next to a recently installed swimspa/endless pool there is a hot spa and an outdoor Finnish sauna available.
The property features a variety of livestock: 'goofy' alpacas, chicken, sheep, cattle, ducks, pigs, turkeys and an aviary.
Golden Caves Bed and Breakfast is hosted by Rene & Marianne: a friendly and accommodating couple who moved from the Netherlands to New Zealand in 2007. Next to GOLDEN CAVES BED AND BREAKFAST'' and 'HIPPO: SAUNA, HOT SPA AND SWIM SPA' they operate a lifestyle farm opposite Abel Tasman National Park on a lovely 31 acre property with impressive native Totara trees.
Golden Caves Bed and Breakfast is located at the top of the South Island in one of New Zealand’s most favorite spots: Golden Bay. Blessed with Mediterranean-type climate with long summers, mild winters and plentiful all-year-round sunshine Golden Bay is a vast paradise for nature/bird lovers or sporty people who enjoy fishing, kayaking, rock climbing or horseback riding. Takaka Hill, known as 'marble mountain', is the gateway to another pristine part of New world. Golden Caves Bed and Breakfast offers remarkable views in all directions and is just ‘steps away’ from Abel Tasman National Park renowned for its pristine and safe beaches, sculptured granite cliffs, and its world-famous coast track.
It is known for being a popular tourist destination. We are 10 minutes away from Takaka township, restaurants, theater, organic store, supermarket, galleries. Swimming holes and the world famous Paynes Ford (rock climbing) are close by as well as beaches, tramping tracks, kayaking, day walks and caves.
