She gave us all the instructions needed to have an excellent stay, and even let us help train the alpacas in the morning. The location was private and peaceful at night. It was like we were alone under the stars. We will never forget our time at Nat’s house truck.

United StatesThis place is so peaceful and beautiful! The host was friendly and welcoming. Our cabin turned out to be way more spacious and comfortable than we had imagined. Everything was clean and well equipped. The alpacas are of course really fun to watch. I really want to come again and stay longer!

A busy town which attracts many holiday makers and artists.It has a good range of services and it is near to some wonderful natural attractions such as the Wainui Falls,The Glade and the Abel Tasman National Park.

An amazing wee boho heaven.
An amazing wee boho heaven. We ended up here almost accidentally but delighted we did! Included a visit to BopInk tattoo shop to see the fabulous Marian. Lovely eateries, great supermarket, brilliant vibe.

Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to beaches all around the area, and the lovely Pupu Springs and Farwell Spit. The people in the town were lovely and friendly. We had the best vegetarian burgers, even better than our Ferg burgers from Queenstown! We all felt so safe and just enjoyed our time there. The drive over the Takaka Hill was a great experience, both in the misty rain and in beautiful sunshine.

When you come out of pupu springs rd turn left and go to the...
When you come out of pupu springs rd turn left and go to the pupu hydro tailrace track. not to be missed. Before walking the track go to the power station and read about it. you will get a much better understanding if you do this before the walk also suggest you do the walk clockwise

I loved every minute in this welcoming, peaceful, loving hippie community! Check out the notice board in town and attend events with the locals-- it's worth it! I was able to hitchhike all over Golden Bay, no problem! There are so many beautiful hikes and nature spots in the area. Also, stop in for a yoga class in town! Next to the studio, there's a smoothie place called Mermaid Beach House. Tell the owner, Amba, that a girl named Jenna sent you! Everything she makes is divine! I can't wait to go back!

The property and room were spotlessly cleaned, with top quality amenities. Mike and Debbie were lovely hosts, attentive and accommodating and generous. The breakfast was very generous. The property is safe and quiet, a short 5 minutes walk to Tata Beach, and 20 minutes drive to Tākaka.
I recommend buying food in Takaka and bringing it with you so you don’t need to leave, it was the ultimate comfortable getaway.

Loved the peace and serenity of our surroundings and the proximity to Takaka area. The sound of the river, the sun parkling on the water,so close to our Chalet, it felt as if you were miles from civilisation. Thank you Ngaire.

The location is walking distance to Takaka. The furniture in the lounge was comfortable. We had a solid roof over our heads during a storm which was better than being in a tent (popular in this area). The fridge was a good size.

Lovely place that is a short walk from Takaka town, super clean chalet with everything you need, nothing has been missed! Comfy beds and beautiful gardens with glow worm cave! Will stay again!
