The staff was very communicative and helpful, both over chat and intercom. We arrived late and left early, and they were very helpful making sure we could still check in and out. we had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodations

Tracy and Tony were so friendly and down to earth for our stay. My 4.5yr old and I traveled to Hanmer Spring on the Hanmer Connection bus from Christchurch. It's a 25min walk from the village with beautiful scenery of the forest on the way. You can also ask for a pick-up at a charge, so if you want to be closer to nature with amazing dark sky for astrophotography and stargazing, then this is place for you! The room was clean and warm with 2 heaters keeping us warm during winter. Wifi was $5 for 10GB/24hrs or a few other plans, fast and affordable.

Great for adventure and unique experiences.

Great for adventure and unique experiences. It is high-cost and busy in winter, but it offers plenty of options and stunning scenery. The ski fields are good, but buses can get booked out at peak times, and hiring gear can take a while on the mountain. Consider transport and accommodation options carefully, including that there are some steep hills, etc. The public bus is challenging as you need to get a Bee card, add credit, assign it to the number of people using it (with the bus driver) and tag on/off.

Christchurch is a pretty and vibrant city, still undergoing significant changes after the earthquake. It has plenty of character and charm, and really easy to walk around the inner-city. It is the gateway to some fantastic scenic beauty from coastline to mountain ranges, sweeping flat farmland, and beautiful rivers. I was here for work, and I opted to stay in the city, where a great selection of meal varieties, within easy walking distance. And travel to outlying areas was easy, with good navigational apps. There is still a lot of infrastructure being rebuilt, so in coming years Christchurch will only get better. Went to the new One NZ Stadium, which was mind-blowing. The only thing that would make this better would be to see the All Blacks beating the Springboks there.

Dunedin is a beautiful city to visit full of history & charm. You need good walking shoes and good knees to negotiate the very steep Dunedin hills. The shopping In Dunedin was fabulous a mix of up market and some excellent op shops. Being a student city it has a buzz of its own. Easy city to drive around with stunning harbour views. Friendly helpful people everywhere we went. Great coffee and cafes with delicious food.

A beautiful seaside town.

A beautiful seaside town. Looking across the ocean is the snow capped mountains, so pretty. It is a lovely walk along the beach front, lovely cafes and restaurants. The stoney beach was hard to walk on & the water freezing of course, as we come from sandy beaches and warm water. If we had more time we would have gone out on one of the boats to do a dolphin or whale encounter. The bus ride all the way to Christchurch was a beautiful drive and spotted fur seals along the way
