Spring at Ivy's Cottage

Lovely stand alone cottage in private garden surrounded by mature trees. Very quiet, just a short walk from Greytown's boutique shops, restaurants and cafes. A great base to explore the regions vineyards, forest parks and festivals or to simply unwind. Enjoy the garden with a wine on the balcony or eat alfresco under the pergola. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, electric fry-pan, stove and microwave. Now also with Sky TV and Wi-fi for your enjoyment. Quality linen provided.

Although I love Wellington City I equally enjoy the quieter life in Greytown and the warmer weather! We initially moved over the hill to start a vineyard in Martinborough, only 15 minutes drive from Greytown. My family and I enjoy hiking in the Tararuas and walking the dog along the river. Greytown has wonderful restaurants and cafes and the Wairarapa hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year so there is always something to do.

Historic Greytown village is just one hours drive from Wellington and 25 minutes from Masterton. It is 15 minutes drive from Martinborough's vineyards. Alexia Urban Winery is situated directly across the road on West St. Cobblestones Museum and Schoc chocolates are within close walking distance. The start of the rail trail is 100m away along with the dog park. A petrol station is 50m away and the supermarket is 500m down the road on West St. It is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.
