We are a Kiwi couple who started welcoming guests from around the world over 10 years ago who were English students coming to Auckland and learning to speak English in classes, therefore we are ideal for those also, who don’t have the best English yet, as we know to be patient and soeak abit slowed to assist them and make them feel comfortable. We now offer affordable alternative accommodation mainly to backpackers who want to stay with Kiwis especially at the beginning of their Kiwi adventure and would like to stay with hosts that will be on hand to help them in their first few days in New Zealand. We pride ourselves in our reviews and attitude. We share our home which is full of love and we open our minds to people from all walks of life. Nestled down a private driveway, back from the road noise, sits our quaint and cosy home. Comprising of 3 spaces to stay, be it either a luxury indoor double bedroom complete with elevated views over the neighbourhood and offering afternoon sun and the sunsets, this room is ideal for those that wish to spread out abit more and utilise cupboard space, views and comfort at its best, still within their budget. Outside in our private garden, for those nature lovers, we have 2 cabins. If waking up to the birds singing and nature enveloping you is what you desire then this space is for you. Also extremely comfortable, private but more intimate, backpackers love them and rave about their little slice of paradise. Pets roam freely except in sleeping quarters. A Hot Tub is available except Winter when it’s too cold to derobe. The garden is ideal for socialising. Smoking permitted outside. Good Vibes only policy. Parking available on site or roadside safely. Shared facilities. Not a Hostel but a Kiwi home where memories are made.

Bayview is considered to be a hidden gem of the suburb of Glenfield. Set well back from the main road, but close enough to bus transport to the CBD and just a quick 25 minute walk to the nearest shopping mall, it provides a lovely community feeling and safeness which is hard to beat. We are about 15 minutes drive to the East Coast Beaches but a handy walk to the inner harbour and surrounded by a lush green forest, which has many little pathways and walks to explore. We have our own Bayview Community Centre which offers many activities for those stopping abit longer and if you can't find what your after there, a quick trip to Glenfield Shopping Centre will have you at the shopping mall, library, leisure centre(gym, pools, sauna, spa), pubs, etc. The North Shore - theres no place like it in Auckland:)
