Accommodating only 7 guests at maximum, our aim is to offer every guest a unique and relaxing stay in the this delightfully elegant property, in the historic Bay of Islands.
Your host Lionel is a New Zealand Maori, whose ancestors date back to the signing of the original Waitangi treaty - the document that establishes modern New Zealand. He is delighted to share his experiences and knowledge of Maori Culture with Guests.
Located at a north east inlet on the Bay of Islands, Kerikeri is home to New Zealand's oldest European buildings, and was the site of the first permanent settlement. Today Kerikeri is famous for its local organic produce, with Northland's best restaurants and wineries, and is popular with good food and wine lovers. Many art and craft galleries are located here, and Moon Gate Villa is only a short stroll from the Old Packhouse markets and Makana boutique chocolate factory. Kerikeri is also well located for days trips to Cape Reinga and Far North beaches, as well popular tourist centre Paihia and the historic Waitangi treaty grounds.
