“A wonderful relaxing venue overlooking the olive grove. We found the bed comfy, shower great and had all you need for a comfortable stay. It was a real bonus with their friendly dog Iti and fabulous chickens, plus beautiful moon garden.”

Two pods among the olive trees on Māori whenua, inside the Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve. One pod for sleeping, one for living. You step outside to cross between them, under some of the clearest skies in Aotearoa. That walk is the point. Stargazing kit ready for you. The grove carries the name Memory Iwa. We tend it the way she taught us. The sleeping pod holds a queen bed with fresh linen, duvet, pillows and a heater. The living pod holds your kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, tea and coffee provided, a smart TV with streaming, fast wifi, and an ensuite with hot shower, fresh towels and toiletries. Outside is your private deck with furniture, free parking at your door, and the moon garden with its fire pit.
We live in the main house and are available. We keep to ourselves but happy to say hello and interact. This is a working olive grove. Chris tends the trees, Vernette presses and bottles the oil. Animals live here, so animal lovers are at home.
Walk to the Ruamāhanga awa. Fifteen minutes to Carterton and Masterton, thirty to Martinborough.
