Opened in September 2018, Ranginui is an architecturally designed B&B with the best views in Lake Tekapo. Relax on one of our couches and enjoy a glass of wine while soaking up uninterrupted views of the stunning turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo, or watch breath-taking storms roll over the mighty Southern Alps. Enjoy breakfast served in our dining area while enjoying beautiful views of the Lake. You can choose from a selection of fresh fruit, homemade muesli, yoghurt, orange juice, breads and spreads. A home cooked breakfast is also available using seasonal ingredients when possible.
Your hosts Ann-Maree and Sab have travelled extensively and will welcome you in a relaxed and friendly manner, rooms are serviced daily.
Situated halfway between Christchurch and Queenstown, Lake Tekapo is arguably one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. Awake to the sight of crystal blue glacial waters and wide open spaces, set against the backdrop of the stunning Southern Alps. We are the only World Heritage Listed Dark Sky Reserve in the southern hemisphere, and one of only twelve in the world.
