There may be a few stairs to climb, but the view is so worth it! The Castle is a quintessential Kiwi bach overlooking the Tasman sea with nothing between you and Melbourne. Our Ripiro Beach is a 105km drivable beach so plenty of room to find a quiet spot to enjoy a relaxing day on the sand.
I fell in love with the beach so moved here and live in Baylys permanently with my partner Dave, 12yr old dog Thor and 10yr old cats Lottie & Big Labowski. We love running Thor on the beach and fishing is our main hobby. We enjoy hosting guests and providing them with an opportunity to experience and explore our area.
Baylys Beach is a small community where everyone pretty well knows everyone. The vibe is very relaxed and we all look out for each other. There are many local attractions within a short drive like the great kauri Tane Mahuta, Kai Iwi Lakes, Dargaville Museum to name a few.
