THE OLD SHEARERS QUARTERS is a full luxury renovation of the original accommodation its set in a serene garden setting and totally private and cosy just 40 mins from Christchurch and close to 3 skiing areas inc MT HUTT and the Methven hot pools Set in a quiet village on the scenic highway this is a great place to hike and experience the real NZ Your host STEVE can give you all the info on where and what to do from fishing and jet boating at the beautiful RAKAIA GORGE to close by hiking and horse back riding Darfield is just 15 mins drive for all the amenities
Steve has been in tourism in NZ for 30 years having just recently sold a multi award B&B lodge and loves meeting people from all over the world
Glentunnel has a local shop that sells everything you will need food wise plus more also a beautiful golf course with a cosy cafe There are great restaurants in DARFIELD and a pub 5 mins drive away
