Great, helpful and friendly check-in young lady. Easy parking almost directly outside your room. Great hot water and heat. Good WiFi connection. Nice large refrigerator. King/queen size bed. Quiet location, Very clean room.

Ashburton Glow in the Domain well worth a visit if you...

Ashburton Glow in the Domain well worth a visit if you happen to be passing through on King's Birthday weekend. Lovely domain and the lights, fairground type activities for the youngsters and huge array of food carts catering for everyone with seating and music made for a very enjoyable evening overall especially as it was unseasonably warm the weekend we were there.

This hotel is great.

This hotel is great. Nice spacious rooms, lovely outlook on to beautiful gardens and comfy beds. We had a really good meal in the restaurant, can see why it's so popular. Staff are friendly and helpful, allowed us a slightly early check in which is greatly appreciated when travelling on a motorcycle, it's a relief to get all the gear off. We would definitely stay here again.

Ashburton is a small, quiet town, which for all its ambition...

Ashburton is a small, quiet town, which for all its ambition, has probably seen better days - while the town centre has a range of shops and has put in effort to be modern, clean and accessible - there is little else for entertainment in the town for children or visitors. Much of the township is older, run-down houses - although, the streets are wide and there is basically no traffic. It felt safe and the town amenities (playgrounds, swimming pool, botanic gardens) are well presented. It does have reasonably close proximity to Christchurch and Timaru (about 1hr in either direction), and we found access to good meals and friendly locals.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming I would happily stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others looking

We spent most of our time catching up with our American...

We spent most of our time catching up with our American family, however the restuarant we went to had a fabulous menu and was excellent food. The christmas lights wrapped around the tree trunks which run through the main street were magical.

Pleasant and friendly country city with easy access and roads. Quality shopping and food outlets. Close to rivers, lake and mountains and handy on why to Dunedin. Two very interesting museum - aviation and old world. The park gardens are superb for walks and picnic.
