Cozy, clean, pet friendly, this stand-alone home is located in a quiet neighborhood made up of apartments and light commercial storage buildings. One bedroom with new queen mattress, black out blinds and comfy bedding, this is a quiet and great spot for a good night's rest. The bathroom is roomy and clean with plenty of fluffy towels. Basic amenities are supplied like body wash, a hair dryer and plenty of toilet paper. The open planned kitchen, dining and living area is bright and comfortable. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook meals, while Turangi has plenty of dining options within walking distance should you want to take the night off. The living area has a new Ecosa sofa/bed, which can be configured as one king single, a king or two king singles to sleep an additional 2 people. This bed will be made up as a king single when a 3rd person is added to the booking, or 2 singles/1 king when 4 people are booked in. A wall mounted TV allows guests to watch their own streaming services. The deck has ample seating and is a suntrap in both summer and winter. Fully fenced so your dogs can run around safely. Kept immaculately clean so those who do not travel with pets will feel comfortable too. Turangi is the perfect base for exploring the National Park and especially the amazing Tongariro Alpine Crossing, a bucket list activity for many. Afterwards, soak in the local mineral hotpools at Tokaanu and get your gear clean with the onsite washing machine, washing powder supplied. Turangi is a destination spot, for world famous fishing, hiking, biking, hunting or just taking it easy down the southern end of the lake.

How lucky are we to be able to live in a time where we can indulge in travel while staying in such comfort? Travel is my passion and I’ve been a world wanderer my entire life. I’m currently wandering back in my home country of New Zealand, after living overseas for the last 25 years. It’s so good to be back and I’m very grateful to be surrounded by such natural beauty.

It's a very quiet neighbourhood as it's in a light commercial area, with mainly storage lock ups and a few apartments. About 10 minutes' walk to Turangi township, and 20 minutes drive to the Ketetahi Trailhead on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Whakapapa ski fields are less than 40 minutes drive. World famous fishing, kayaking and white water rafting in the amazing Tongariro River just a couple of minutes drive or Lake Taupo make this an unrivaled year-round destination.
