I am a retired anaesthetist with this property in Poland and an Aberdeen Angus farm in Ireland. I am also a bit of a computer geek and very much enjoy good food and drink, gardening & bee-keeping. London born with a Polish dad and an Anglo-Irish mum.

Property info

The oldest part is XIV century. It was purchased by my grandmother in 1916 after her husband died. She and five kids lived here till WWII, when twas occupied by the Gestapo. Post war it deteriorated under communism. My task now is to fully restore it

Neighborhood info

Not battered by the war but the effects of that occupation & communism are legendary. Loads of wonderful architecture. A very long University, RC Church and Jewish history. About 1000 eating places. Music, opera, theatre, markets and misc night life abound. Public transport is cheap and very reliable. There is almost no litter and littering is severely punished as is jaywalking across roads. Near to Krakow the two most visited attractions are the Auschwitz/Birkenau camps and the salt mines at Wilicka. Extreme sports, shooting and paint-ball ranges, trampolining, swimming indoors and out are all possible.
