The entrance to this stately home brings you to its courtyard filled with flowers and plants. Each luxurious studio is accessible via this courtyard while guaranteeing privacy for each visitor. The luxurious studios all have a modern bathroom, king-size bed and seating. Large windows and doors fill the space with natural light and provide a view of Ferragudo’s main street. Ferragudo is an authentic Portuguese suburb in the middle of the Algarve. The former fisherman’s village of the city of Portimão is located on the eastern bank of the Rio Arade. This river debouches into the Atlantic Ocean. Its location in the heart of the Algarve makes Ferragudo the perfect base to discover the rest of this extraordinary region. The humble village is home to approximately 2000 residents. A walk through the historical part of town takes you to several beautiful sights. Make sure to look around during the walk, as there is plenty to see on the way there. Highlights within walking distance are the old church (Igreja de Ferragudo), the fort on the beach (São João do Arade) and the lighthouse at the end of the beach (Farol da Ponta do Altar), which offers a stunning view of the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. On the route to any of these sights you will pass several restaurants and stores and will be greeted by the friendly locals.
