Welcome to Angelic Sea View Guesthouse. Hi, I’m Eric, your host. We are located in the tranquil town of Ajuda da Bretanha, on the North-West side of the island of Sao Miguel, Azores. This cozy, comfortable home is surrounded by nature, providing you a sense of peace and safety, and it is with easy access to other parts of the island. A stunning sea view awaits you. A scenic 25-30 minute drive takes you to the city of Ponta Delgada or Sete Cidades breathtaking lake. Ideal for couples, a small families, or friends, looking for a place to relax and explore this beautiful island paradise. Bretanha is a hiking Paradise. In 1 hour you are up at the Miradouro das Cumeeiras (or 10 minutes by car) to enjoy the view of Sete Cidades and the 2 lakes. From there you can hike around the crater in 2 hours or hike down to Sete Cidades in 1 hour. If you like to swim in the sea, you can walk down in 15 minutes to enjoy a natural pool in Bretanha. If you want a place that’s away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we are a great place for you. Wake up to the ocean view in this prime rural location of Ajuda da Bretanha. Steps away is the Moinho do Pico Vermelho (Red Peak Mill), a Dutch style windmill used historically for grinding grain. Restored and well maintained, this Mill dates back to the 18th-19th century. Re-inaugurated in 2013 after renovations, it features a white, cylindrical, two-story design with a dome roof and bright red blades, standing as a key, preserved example of traditional Azorean agriculture.

I am a retired Registered Nurse from Canada and of Portuguese descent, and it is here on Sao Miguel Island that I found peace and tranquility. I am quite fond of animals, I enjoy gardening, helping people, and just being surrounded by nature, in general. I will assist you the best way i can, to ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one. Guests will be provided with a simple form that must be filled out by all the guests in the reservation, prior to check-in. This is a requirement by the Portuguese government.
