Olá! I’m Maria, also known as the 'Reguila'. In Portugal, we call someone “Reguila” when they’re a bit of a cheeky rascal or full of mischievous energy — but always in a cute way! I got the nickname as a kid because I say “Olá” to everyone I met. The driver of the number 53 bus was the one who started it; every time I hopped on with a big “Olá!”, he’d beam back at me and say, “Olá, Reguila!” That’s exactly how I want to welcome you: with a big, warm “Olá!”, even if I can’t always be there to greet you in person.
