Ground floor: 1 double bedroom with en-suite; living room, dining room , w.c./shower room; well equipped kitchen, utility room with washing machine and dishwasher. Each main room has direct access to the wrap around terrace. The rear terrace has al fresco dining area and and BBQ. There is also a chill out sitting area. The pool area is just beyond and is a real sun trap! The pool is 3.5m x 7m and 1.75m deep at the deep end and 1.15m at the shallow end. For their safety, the area is gated so that young children do not have access without the knowledge of adults. Upstairs, there is another double bedroom with en-suite, a family bathroom and a twin/double bedroom. on the landing, we have a book case full of books for "book swap". Guests are welcome to take any book from here and swap it for their own. The upstairs bedrooms have direct access to the balcony with views across Portimão. It's a lovely area for a quick sundowner in the evening. In the living room, we have a TV set up for Netflix etc. We have a printer in the dining room. Please free to use.

We were first attracted to the villa by its rustic charm. Although traditional, it has modern facilities within including a very fast optic fibre broadband internet. The free wi-fi code will be provided at check-in. There is a mini mercado (corner shop) for essential food stuff just down the road from the villa. There are 2 lovely restaurants within walking distance; Fonte de Pedra and O'Tasco. Another excellent restaurant just 2-3 minutes drive away is Solar do Farelo We love it's location as it's close enough to the vibrant fishing village of Alvor yet far enough away to provide a tranquil atmosphere in the villa. We love the great outdoors, in particular the beaches and country walks. Alvor has a lovely long sandy beach with the wonderful Restinga Restaurante right off it. I like windsurfing and the beach I find great for that is Meia Praia Lagos. There is Watersport kit hire shop there and I believe they also offer windsurfing lessons. The beaches in this region are the best in Europe. All have great restaurants/bars on site. We often do a circular beach walk in Alvor and end it at one of the several marina cafés for a snack and refreshments.

The villa is situated just 10-15 minutes by car to Alvor with a vibrant shopping and numerous bars and restaurants. The marina there, lined with cafés and restaurants is very popular with tourists as is the sandy beach there. There are many beaches nearby. There is a children's play area and exercise equipment for adults within the urbanisation. The aerodrome and the autodrome are very close by as is the famous Penina Golf Club. We really love all this place has to offer and hope you do too!
