O Guesthouse Monsanto é uma moradia de 3 pisos construída nos anos 30 que mantém os seus materiais de construção originais. A casa tem 7 quartos privados e três casas de banho partilhadas mais uma suíte com casa de banho privada. A cozinha está equipada com forno, fogão, frigorífico, microondas, chaleira, torradeira, pratos, talheres, tachos e panelas. Há também uma sala de estar e uma área exterior equipada com mesas, cadeiras e guarda-sol, para descontrair e tomar as suas refeições ao ar livre se preferir, no terraço pode apreciar a vista para o lago e apanhar banhos de sol. Está situada numa zona sossegada, a 20 min a pé do centro da cidade. O ambiente em Guesthouse Monsanto é muito descontraído e é muito comum os hospedes conviverem entre si.

A zona envolvente do Guesthouse é muito sossegada, tem uma estação de serviço aberta 24h que também é um pequeno supermercado e onde se pode adquirir o bilhete para o bus a apenas 30 metros. Há um excelente restaurante a 150 metros. As paragens de bus ficam a 100 m ou a 200 m de distancia.
