Meet the owners! Our names are Dora, Laura and Luisa and together as a family we are the founders of Indigo Guest House. In 2020 we decided to start a business together and because of our Portuguese roots we knew that Lagos would be the perfect place for us. With Luisa being the creative soul of the family, Dora rocking those numbers and administration and our social butterfly Laura, our idea was set and Indigo Bar was born. After two busy summers we decided it was time to expand. We kept our eyes open and saw that Casa Shaz was up for sale during the summer of 2022 and we decided to go for it! Many months of hard work and renovation, we can finally say that Indigo Guest House is open for business!

Set within the walls of the beautiful town Lagos, you will find Indigo Guest House. The guesthouse is located just a stone throw away into town, which makes it a great place to stay. Just around the corner from the guest house you’ll find restaurants, cafes, bars and all the local shops. The closest beach is Batata Beach which is only 600 metres away and Meia Praia beach is less than 1 km away. These are not the only beaches in Lagos and our lovely staff will happily give you directions to all of them. Indigo Guest House is not like any other guest house.. it’s a family owned guest house for the guests who want to explore everything that Lagos has to offer. The minimalist, surfer vibe 3-storey guest house has 8 private rooms, modern shared bathrooms, two kitchens, reading corner, free WiFi and terraces made for every occasion. The best of all, the magical rooftop, it’s made for watching sunsets while having a glass of wine. All rooms include linen, towels, bathrobes and shower gel. All guests have access to terraces and rooftop, kitchen on the main floor from 14:00 and the smaller kitchen all day. The guest house offers rental of bikes, beach towels and umbrellas. Across the road you will find a same-day laundry service. Lagos has a busy nightlife in the evenings. So, we recommend that our guests bring the appropriate sleeping accessories (eye mask/earplugs) to ensure the best nights sleep possible due to our location. As this is a guesthouse we also ask that everyone whom stays with us consider each-other whilst staying here. We are sure you are going to thoroughly enjoy your stay with us and we believe Lagos has something to offer for everyone.

The town of Lagos is known as the Jewel of the Algarve. Its charming cobbled streets are steeped in history. One can take a stroll down the narrow alleyways appreciating the stunning Portuguese architecture or sip an espresso at one of the local Cafes and take in the slow hustle and bustle of life along the Algarve. The countless restaurants fill the streets with the rich aroma of fresh garlic frying. Beautifully landscaped parks surround the city walls. World renowned cliffs and beaches surrounded by the crystal green waters of the Atlantic are within walking distance. After a lazy day either lounging on the beaches or strolling the historical centre one can sip a cocktail while watching the famous Algarve sunsets from one of the roof top bars or terraces. Lagos comes alive when the sun goes down and locals and travellers alike frequent the cosy bars and restaurants. Lagos is a small city and most bars, restaurants and supermarkets are easily within walking distance. There are local taxis, including car and scooter rental services offered within the city.
