Casa Swagatam is a dream place in the Natural Park of Costa Vicentina, with the roaring ocean just behind the pine forest, many famous holiday beaches within short distance, yet complete privacy with the authentic Portuguese countryside feeling .

We are ourselves usually either out travelling, or staying further down on our 5 hectares large property. We highly respect each others privacy, therefore you will hardly notice us, except for an occasional friendly informative chat, if you might wish so :-)

Our house is situated the midst of authentic old-time Portuguese farmland, with wonderfully charming and warm hearted people around. Seeing the farmers ploughing a field with mule- power is not an unusual sight. Meanwhile, the highly popular and animated holiday places and surf&play beaches, like Aljezur/Amoreira (10min drive) - Odeceixe (10min drive) - Vale Figueiras (20min drive) - Arrifana (20min drive) - Carrapateira/Amado (30min drive) - Bordeira (25min drive) - Monteclerigo (20min drive) ... are all within short distance drive. Along with it comes a large choice of tasty trendy and traditional restaurants, Supermarkets, both local (3min drive) and Intermarche (Aljezur), local farmer markets, pharmacies, surf-shops, Cafe's, even a bio-shop, a vegan restaurant, a Pizza "Academy".... you name it! Inspite of all that animation around, you enjoy the calm and retreat of Casa Swagatam. Since our house is on the countryside, a private or rental car is highly recommended.
