A Praia da Luz é uma vila tranquila, com uma das praias mais bonitas do Algarve. Apesar de ser uma aldeia tem tudo o que precisa para as suas férias: dois pequenos supermercados, uma papelaria, um banco, duas farmácias, serviço de aluguer de automóveis, serviço de aluguer de bicicletas, uma loja de surf, lojas de souvenirs, uma bela igreja e muito mais! Também tem muitos excelentes restaurantes e cafés. Há algo para todos aqui! Na praia poderá encontrar alguns desportos náuticos a decorrer. Quando há ondas é possível vão muitos surfistas e bodyboarders. Quando o mar está calmo, pode fazer um passeio de barco para ver as grutas ao longo da costa ou ver os golfinhos! Ou até alugar um caiaque ou fazer um passeio de barco insuflável! Na Praia da Luz dá para desfrutar da praia o ano inteiro! Mesmo no inverno há sempre dias de sol onde pode descansar na praia ou fazer um passeio pelas falésias. Existem grandes oportunidades para caminhantes. Existe um caminho pedestre de nível bastante fácil que acompanha a costa até ao Burgau, que é muito pitoresco. Há também uma caminhada um pouco mais difícil ao longo da falésia até Lagos. A Praia da Luz fica a apenas 5 minutos de carro da bela cidade de Lagos.
