My husband and I were born and raised on Terceira. We love our island and make it a point to enjoy its wonders to the fullest! For several years, I have worked part-time in order to be able to volunteer. We lead a simple life and focus on things that are really important to us, such as helping others and spending time with our friends. We also love the ocean, volleyball and organic produce. We believe that all nature should be preserved and strive to do our part. In May 2019, our lives changed. After 3 weeks of volunteer work in Mozambique, we decided to turn that short experience into a way of life. We remodeled our home (that's when we became professional hosts) and, in February 2020, we left. Although the pandemic forced us to return temporarily, we are convinced that our future involves returning to Mozambique, and we are organizing ourselves to go back.
