About the property – On the top floor of a renovated 19th century block accessed by an elevator, this apartment offers a convenient and comfortable stay, fully equipped and with Porto’s attractions close at hand. It sleeps 6 + 1, and fold out memory foam mattresses can be provided for 2 extra guests. There is air conditioning in all the rooms and central heating. You will find a 43” smart/cable TV in the living room and the master bedroom, and electric blackout shades in all the bedrooms ensure a good night’s sleep. There is an open plan living/diner with a table seating up to 8, and a balcony to sip a good cup of coffee – or a glass of wine! Separate kitchen has an induction stove top, fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave, as well as a Nespresso machine, hand mixer and juicer. A clothes washer+dryer is available and the house starter kit includes detergent, coffee capsules, tea, cooking essentials, shampoo, soap and shower gel. Two full bathrooms have walk-in shower and tub, and there is a guest toilet in the entrance hall. Wooden floors throughout, fluffy rugs and a big, snuggly vintage Danish sofa. About the neighbourhood – Our neighbourhood of Bonfim keeps an authentic feel and has all you need: several nice cafes, bakeries (there's a good one next door!), restaurants (again, a good one next door - on the other side), as well as pharmacies and ATMs can be found within a 200m/0.12mi range. For groceries, you may choose between Lidl (350m/0.22mi), Minipreço (160m/0.1mi) and the several smaller shops around. The area houses the Military Museum (190m/0.12mi), the Fine Arts Faculty (600m/0.38mi), São Lázaro Garden (900m/0.56mi) and the Nova Sintra Park (300m/0.19mi away from the home), one of the biggest green areas in the city, offering beautiful views of Douro River and an open-air museum showcasing fountains that date back from the XVI century. Heroísmo metro – with direct links to the airport and Campanhã Station – is right at our doorstep and within a short walk you can reach the main touristic sights in Porto's old center. Catch bus 207 from outside the apartment that passes through Crystal Palace Gardens, Porto Botanical Garden, the stunning Serralves Museum and park, all the way to Foz do Douro; or take the metro to Matosinhos beach, for pleasant tours further out.
