Our Madeira was established in 2009 by Linda & Ricardo Dias. We have both worked in tourism all our lives, the great majority of which in Madeira, where we live (and where Ricardo hails from). We know how important it is to find the right holiday home for your holiday, and searching through the many websites can be exhausting, time-consuming, and confusing. And of course, you want to make sure you are dealing with a dependable company. Our commitment is to provide a unique, personal service, using our in-depth knowledge of Madeira (our island home) and of all the villas and apartments we feature, to assist you in making the right holiday rental choice. For some of the properties, we just handle the reservations on the owner's behalf, but for others, we take care of the cleaning and maintenance, and we will be there to greet you on arrival at the villa. All the properties are known to us personally. Between us, we have over 60 years of experience in tourism, so we like to think we know what we’re doing! Our wonderful and dedicated team also come from many different areas of Tourism and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and customer care. Together, we strive to ensure our guests have a wonderful holiday in Madeira.

Perfectly located amidst banana trees, close to the sunny resort of Calheta, with superb panoramic views of the sea, The Designhouse is a fabulous contemporary villa beautifully designed as the perfect holiday home. Thought has been put into every detail, making this the perfect option for a great family holiday, or for a get away break for one or more couples. To benefit from the views and tranquillity, The Designhouse has an upside down layout. From the driveway, the main entrance opens to a hall with stairs leading down to the bedroom floor and then to the living area and sun terrace with heated infinity pool. The Cubist architecture of the villa is complemented by a Le Corbusier chaise longue and glass table and chairs, Wassily chairs, EGE carpets and Paul Henningsen lamps in the living area. Spacious and fully open-plan, the uninterrupted panoramic floor to ceiling sliding picture windows display the wonderful views over the banana treetops to the sea. The contemporary feel continues into the red themed fully equipped kitchen with central island, off of which is the laundry.

Neighborhood info

Madeira is a walkers paradise. The Designhouse is only a five minute drive away from the express way which provides access to the Madeiran countryside. Less than 5 minutes by car (approximately 3 kilometres away) will take you to the resort town of Calheta, which, with its man-made golden beaches, is popular with tourists and locals alike. Funchal International Airport, is a 55 minute drive away; Calheta resort town, less than a 5 minute drive; The capital, Funchal, a 40 minute drive Calheta is approximately 3 kilometres away Funchal is approximately 35 Kilometres away Further Details: In Calheta you will find a beautiful marina and a good choice of bars and restaurants. There is a handful of boutique shops and a good supermarket. Ribeira Brava, 10 minutes by car, is the next largest town, and offers a greater election of shops, cafés and restaurants, and a couple of supermarkets.
