It features a serene bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a bathroom with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, and all the essentials to prepare light meals or enjoy a peaceful breakfast with a view. The living room opens onto a private balcony, where you can sit, breathe, and watch the river flow by — birds singing, rowers gliding, and the light dancing on the water. Step outside and you're just a short walk from the river promenade, the Filigree Museum, Casa Branca de Gramido, the Júlio Resende Foundation, and charming cafés by the water. Nature lovers, runners and cyclists will enjoy the scenic riverside path that leads all the way to Marina do Freixo, and even into Porto’s historic Ribeira. Just a 5 minutes walk from the apartment, you’ll reach the Douro River — and there, nature, culture, and calm flow together. You’ll be in Gramido, a hidden riverside gem in Valbom. At the riverfront, you’ll find the historic Casa Branca de Gramido, where peace was once signed, and the Filigree Museum, celebrating the delicate local art of goldsmithing. Nearby, there’s a small Tourism Office, cafés and restaurants with terraces where you can sit and breathe by the water. For art lovers, don’t miss the Júlio Resende Foundation, home to the work and legacy of one of Portugal’s most renowned contemporary painters. The riverside path stretches over 4 km toward Porto, passing through quiet green spaces, perfect for walking, running or cycling. You'll also find the Naval Infante Dom Henrique Rowing Club, a respected and active training centre for professional athletes, nestled peacefully by the river. This area is also home to a river beach (praia fluvial), where locals gather in the warmer months for swimming, sunbathing, or kayaking. Nature is ever-present — birdsong, old trees, and the gentle rhythm of the water make this a perfect place to disconnect… just minutes away from the vibrant city of Porto.
