This property was originally owned by my great grandmother Inês Almeida who had 7 children. The main house was built until 1905. Several years after she passed away my father and his siblings bought it to the family, however the house remained abandoned. On 2017, more than 100 years later, I and my father started a new adventure and bought the property. In 2018 we started the construction until the end of 2021. We stayed loyal to its beautiful original arquitecture. The main house is where I live and next to it we renovated the old cellar into a nice new apartment which we are promoting here. We have an emotional connection to the property and we are proud of our renovation work. We hope you can feel our connection and enjoy your stay. At your stay we will provide provisions and fresh bread so that you can prepare your breakfast.
My name is Crispim Borges da Ponte and my wife Cristina, little Crispim and I are living in the main house next to the apartment. We are both going to be the hosts of the apartment. I am a mechanical engineer who worked in Germany for 2 years and then moved back to São Miguel Island. Cristina is a physical therapist in a local clinic. We both like to travel and to experience different cultures. We love to meet new people and we are eager for this new experience of hosting people all over the world.
