Company info

We love cooking using sustainable and local suppliers as well as organic vegetables, fruit and herbs from our own organic garden. We love travelling and have lived in many different countries and we bring these experiences in every small detail from the home decor to the various dishes that we both prepare for our guests. Berny is an artist and loves to paint and many of her paintings are on display in our hotel. We have a love of nature and strive to take care of our planet.

We believe that Paraiso Escondido offers a gentle, relaxing and enriching experience to return home with. Our inspiration and driving passion is to provide our guests with magical memories that will linger for ever. We pride ourselves in being a family run business (Glenn, Berny and our daughter Gisela) which allows us to provide the attention to detail, personal service that offers an experience rather than just selling a room.

Neighborhood info

We are surrounded by a beautiful countryside with breathtaking views from our elevated position. We are located in the SW of Alentejo on the Costa Vicentina. We are very near to many unspoiled and spectacular beaches and some of which are arguably the best in Europe. We have some wonderful local restaurants serving typical Alentejo dishes and the best seafood from this amazing coast. For the more energetic and if you like walking we are located along the many routes of the famous Rota Vicentina comprising of 350 km of both the historical and fisherman's trail. Many of the local beaches provide surf schools and there is canoeing along the river Mira. Horse riding can be arranged. If you are a golf lover, we are 1 hour from some of the finest golf courses in the Algarve.
