Nick and Chris converted the 'Adega' and extended the property into what it is today. They have been running Quinta do Mar for about 20 years. Nick, an ex journalist handles the reservations and Chris looks after the guest creature comforts.

Property info

Quinta do Mar is in Caloura, an exclusive area on the south coast of São Miguel. Caloura has a well-documented micro-climate which provides one of the sunniest spots in the Azores. This former winery has been tastefully renovated/extended and brought back to life, resulting in a blend of tasteful, modern spaces and original features. The Quinta offers very comfortable rooms, plenty of secluded terraces and relaxing common areas and gardens.

Quinta do Mar sits in an elevated position looking towards the port of Caloura. Caloura is a Historic, and up-market area half-way along the south coast of São Miguel. Nowhere is more than 90 minutes away by car.
