Quinta do Paraíso began in 1990 as a simple piece of rural land surrounded by the beauty of the Alentejo countryside. My parents fell in love with this region and chose this special location to create a place where people could enjoy nature, peace, and authentic rural life. Over the years, they gradually built the houses, planted the gardens, and shaped the property into the welcoming retreat it is today. I was born and raised in this area, and although life took me elsewhere for many years, I always felt connected to this land. When my parents retired in 2025, I decided to return home and continue what they had spent decades creating. Out of admiration for their work and love for this place, I chose to leave my previous life behind and dedicate myself to preserving and improving Quinta do Paraíso. My goal is not to change its essence, but to carefully modernise and restore the houses while keeping the rustic character, simplicity, and authenticity that guests have always appreciated. At the same time, I am gradually expanding the gardens and developing new experiences focused on wellbeing, including meditation, yoga, and massage therapies, creating an even more restorative environment for those seeking rest and balance. One of our greatest joys is welcoming guests who have been returning year after year for more than two decades. Knowing that Quinta do Paraíso has become a place of comfort, memories, and refuge for so many people is both an honour and an inspiration. Our property offers six traditional houses (T2, T1 and T0) and three double rooms with private balconies, all carefully integrated into the landscape. The rooms share an outdoor kitchen set within the garden, where guests can cook, gather, and enjoy barbecues surrounded by nature. Every accommodation has access to barbecue areas designed for relaxed outdoor living. We have preserved the rustic soul of old Alentejo, respecting the character of traditional homes while adding modern comforts. The result is a place that honours the past without sacrificing simplicity and wellbeing. The heart of Quinta do Paraíso is its vast garden, lovingly maintained yet intentionally wild in spirit. Winding paths lead through flowers, trees and quiet corners, inviting guests to slow down and reconnect with nature. Along the way, you'll discover hammocks beneath the shade, a peaceful lake, a friendly horse, and a small swimming pool discreetly nestled among the greenery. Beyond the garden lies open countryside and countless trails to explore on foot or by bicycle.
