Welcome to Stone Dreams - Adega! This charming loft style cottage can be described as old world meets modern day convience. The walls of the Adega were built with traditional basalt stone adding to its rustic exterior while the interior contains many contemporary comforts. This house comes equipped with a hydro-massage shower, king size bed (or can be adapted to 2 individual beds should you prefer) and a microwave.

Your hosts are Nelson and Dawn. Nelson grew up on the Island of Pico and is therefore very familiar with things to do and see, so if you are ever stuck for ideas, just ask Nelson.

Within walking distance from the house you will find a natural pool, the whaler´s museum, walking trails and a children´s playground. For those who want adventure, might we suggest climbing Pico Mountain (the highest point in all Portugal), whale and dolphin watching, bike riding, scuba diving, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, or exploring a volcanic cave. For those who prefer a laid back experience, there are still plenty of other things to do. Why not try one of the local restaurants and dine on traditional Portuguese cuisine, tour the island, visit the museums, or take a ferry boat ride to São Jorge or Faial (two other island located in the Central Group). These and other exciting opportunities await you on Pico island! While on the island, public transportation runs infrequently so we suggest renting a car. During the summer months we suggest booking your car early to avoid disappointment.
