Welcome to Stone Dreams - Namoradeira! This charming cottage can be described as old world meets modern day convienence. the exterior is made of traditional basalt stone which lends to its rustic appearance, while the interior comes complete with contemporary comforts. This house comes with a kitchenette, microwave and toaster. We invite our guests to take advantage of our vegetable gardens, picnic tables and our outdoor woodburning oven to create your own special meals. This house is located in the Azores Archipelego, on the Island of Pico, in the quiet community of Calheta de Nesquim.
Your hosts are Nelson and Dawn. Nelson grew up on the island and is happy to share his favourite spots with you. So if you are ever stuck for ideas on what to do while on Pico, just ask Nelson!
Within walking distance from the house you will find a natural pool, walking trails, the whaler´s museum and a playground for children. For those who would like a more adventurous vacation, why not climb Pico Mountain, or go scuba diving, whale and dolphin whatching, explore a volcanic cave, fishing, canoeing, hiking, bikeriding or horseback riding. For those who prefer a laid back vacation, enjoy the walking trails, visit one of the many local restaurants and try traditional portuguese cuisine, with your rent-a-car you can tour the island, or take a ferry to one of the closer islands (São Jorge or Faial) All this and more is waiting for you on Pico!
