Apartment Matilda was named after my wife's late grandmother who died just 6 days before we returned from Australia in 2009 after living there for 7 years. We wanted to honor her at least in this way so it has a special place in our hearts. Apartment Matilda is located in a quiet part of the Tatranska Lomnica so it gives our guests a great chance to rest in the beautiful nature of High Tatras Mountains. Two separate bedrooms are a big hit especially for the families with children but also for group of friends who can have their own privacy. We try really hard to have our guests feel like at home and to make their stay as pleasant as possible.
My life completely changed in 2002 when I decided to study in Australia and I completely fell in love with this amazing country. I spent 7 wonderful years there and after coming back to Slovakia I really wanted to bring part of this Australian spirit with me. The warmth of the people, the open and positive attitude is something that I absolutely loved there and I really try to use the same attitude in my everyday life and of course towards our guests. I hope they will feel it every time they visit our apartment.
Tatranska Lomnica is one of the nicest little villages in High Tatras. It has amazing views on Lomnicky Stit and one of the best skiing resorts in the country. Nice little restaurants and cafes create wonderful atmosphere of the place. Visitors can enjoy well prepared hiking tracks as well as perfect skiing conditions once winter comes. Come and enjoy the beauty of Slovakia from the highest viewing point on top of Lomnicky Stit.
