Our small, family-run guesthouse is tucked inside Chiang Mai’s historic city walls. Sleep has been a true labor of love — most of the features and furniture were thoughtfully designed and built by us. We believe in simplicity and have created our rooms to be clean, comfortable, and functional — with everything today’s travelers need, and nothing they don’t.

We’re a Thai–Dutch couple with a shared love for Chiang Mai. Jaae was born and raised here, and John has called the city home since 2007. We enjoy welcoming guests from around the world and sharing our passion for Chiang Mai — from local food and hidden temples to creative spaces and cultural gems. We both have a strong interest in design and are always exploring new things to see, taste, and experience in the city. Our guesthouse reflects our personal style and our goal to make every guest feel at home.

Sleep Guesthouse is located in the quiet northeast corner of Chiang Mai’s Old City, in the Lam Chang neighborhood — a local area known for its authentic charm and abundance of fresh food. Around the corner, you'll find a bustling fresh market offering everything from tropical fruit to northern Thai street snacks. Several major temples, including Wat Chiang Man and Wat Chedi Luang, are within easy walking distance, making our location ideal for exploring the cultural heart of Chiang Mai.
