Casita Luna is a charming little cottage, perfect for a quiet retreat or a place to rest and relax while enjoying daily excursions into Santa Fe and the surrounding region. Furnished with a comfy queen bed, two ample reading chairs, and an equipped kitchenette. A wood stove makes it especially cozy during colder months. There's a deck for outdoor meals. The casita is amply private, even with the rear of the main house only a few steps away - main house activity occurs on the far sides of the main home. This is a rural property in a rural setting! The final mile to the property is via a maintained dirt road, and the final block is rutted. During good weather, 2WD vehicles will access the property easily at slow speed, however during wintry, snowy or icy weather, a 4WD is a must. There's a wood stove for heat, as well as a couple of space heaters. One rack of wood is complimentary for each reservation (enough for 8-10 hours of burning). Casita Luna and it's main home, Rancho Escondido, are tucked away in a private corner of the village. The property edges a serene and historic arroyo topped by a forested ridge. Wildlife are a normal occurrence - deer and coyotes are frequent ranch visitors.
