Brsyon City is one of the Gateways to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We are a short drive to the Deep Creek entrance and about 20 minutes to the Oconoluftee entrance in Cherokee. We are an excellent basecamp for your vacation and adventures here. We're a mile from the train depot for the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, close to the Appalachian Trail, and so much more. Nearby you'll find excellent kayaking, whitewater rafting, fly fishing adventures and well as great little breweries, restaurants and markets!
Hi - We're Rick and Louise, your hosts. We moved to Bryson City full time in February of 2020 - which is when the world shut down. I am self employed with my ceramic studioin the basement of our home, Rick works at the local Parts City Auto Parts store part time. We live at the bottom of the hill in our 1910 farmhouse. Though, given the view from "up top" I wonder why I live in the Holler.
Log cabin tiny house with screened front porch including a lovely porch swing, wood throughout and beautiful views. Fully equipped kitchen including coffee pot, slow cooker, blender, hand mixer and all utensils you may need. Your stay includes all linens, starter toiletries, coffee, water, snacks, paper towel, olive oil, salt & pepper, dish washing necessities and toilet paper. Smore's fixings are included as well! There's a terrific fire pit, firewood is included. There's also a hammock for more relaxation opportunity and stargazing at night!
