We've owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast in Moody, ME for 21 years, so we are seasoned Inn keepers. We love to go to the beaches, antiquing and dining out at the many delicious local restaurants. We also enjoy live theater and musical acts at the Ogunquit Playhouse, Maine Street and the Front Porch for live shows. We're always working in the gardens on the property and renovating and refreshening the Inn. We love to spend time with Bentley, our 5-year-old Dachshund, he is a rescue from Arkansas. Bentley does not go into the guest rooms and stays in our area, but you will meet him if you want to. We love to see our guests enjoy their stay here at Elmere House and we do our best to make everyone feels at home and is comfortable. We know about the area and can point you in the right direction for fine and casual dining, shopping, antiquing, the beaches, walks, live theater and entertainment, site seeing attractions along with serving you a delicious breakfast with a smile in the morning. The Elmere House Bed & Breakfast is an historic farmhouse that was built in 1865 by sea captain, Moses Wheelwright and restored in 2008. In 2019 the interior was refreshed and redecorated in a French Country Coastal décor but still retains the original wood floors and beams. All rooms are immaculate, comfortable, have large private baths, quiet individually controlled air conditioning and heating, mini fridges, ceiling fans, wall-mounted LCD Flat screen televisions and we provide free wireless Internet and free parking. There is a covered wrap around porch with furniture to relax on as well as a large yard with a fire pit, sitting areas and large oak trees for shade and if you're a bird watcher there are bird feeders, bird baths, bird houses and a fountain on the grounds. Our first-floor room, The Wells Harbor Room is specially designed for the physically challenged in mind but is equally comfortable for any guests. All other accommodations are located on the 2nd floor, including the elegant Kennebunkport Suite with its King size bed, sitting room, gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub and walk in shower.

The Elmere House Bed & Breakfast is located in Wells in the Moody section, centrally located between Ogunquit and Kennebunkport Maine. We're minutes away to Moody, North Ogunquit, Foot Bridge and Wells beaches. The Ogunquit Village, Perkins Cove, the Ogunquit Playhouse, Nubble Light House, fishing, boat cruises, the Ogunquit Museum-of-American Art and Wells Reserve at Landholm Farm are close by. There's even Mini Golf and Go-Carts around the corner. Fine and casual dining is 3 minutes away, some of our favorites are Joshua's, Hobbs, The Steak House, Fisherman's Catch, The lobster Shack, Crooked Pine, Verano's, The Front Porch and the Scoop Deck for ice cream! These places start down the street and go on for miles in either direction. We are 2 miles to Ogunquit, 7 miles to Kennebunkport, 13 miles to Kittery, 8 miles to York and 20 minutes to Portsmouth NH and 30 miles to Portland, ME. The Wells trolley stop which runs in season is around the corner and connects to the Ogunquit trolley and will take you to most of these attractions.
