Super cute historical house! Our room was very cozy and comfortable. Patrick is just the most adorable host with impecable taste for elegance and beauty. He also makes fresh breakfast to order for each guest and he gave us great recommendations for restaurants and parking. The place is located a few minutes drive from downtown Oqunguit and is definitely worth the savings vs. staying downtown. you can also walk to Foodbridge beach (15 min) as parking there gets full before 10am in high season)

I was visiting a friend in Kennebunkport.

I was visiting a friend in Kennebunkport. The travel was a little distance so going back and forth took some time. Liked the area because there were things to do. I'm a big breakfast person. Not enough breakfast places around to accommodate all the people visiting the area. Even being alone, it was a wait each morning. Would like to see all the breakfast places open all day (not till just 2:00 or 3:00 p.m.). Traveling alone, I'd prefer these type of places rather than high end dining in the evening.

I had heard so much about The Rachel Carson Reserve and it...

I had heard so much about The Rachel Carson Reserve and it was well worth the walk, with plenty of benches to rest on. That same day we also visited Kennebunkport to enjoy gift shops and eat dinner at The Boathouse, with delicious Asian Fusion food. When we returned, we had to "walk off" our meal on Wells Beach before retiring!

Hotels/Inns/Resorts... the list goes on.. busy as expected.

Hotels/Inns/Resorts... the list goes on.. busy as expected. Still, easy enough travelling up and down Wells, Ogunquit, York... 'the strip' has many stores, restaurants, and , of course, accommodations. The one complaint: I guess people don't eat on Mondays or Tuesdays... that, and breakfast specialties aren't a 'thing'. We did find food, and, of course, breakfast... but several 'suggested stops' open for the week on Wednesday (not helpful on a Tuesday). And, after travel, many of the places that were open, closed for the night at 7:00 pm or 8:00 pm... I get it, Tuesday is not a 'hot' night, but 'in season' dining AT 7:00 is not a rare thing - now maybe these places SERVED until 7-8:00 but I took that many places CLOSE then, and you can't 'storm the door' at that time, and expect service.

I visit Wells this time every year.

I visit Wells this time every year. Have stayed in multiple locations. I see the sights in Wells and Ogunquit because of the proximity. I also travel north for shopping in several antique or thrift shops, a manicure and pedicure in Kennebunk and a visit to the monastery. Wells is close enough for some day trips. I have found the people in Wells to be very friendly and have suggestions for places to visit. Wells is my go to place for a restful getaway.

Lots of good restaurants-especially for seafood. Bull and Claw(closer to Kennebunk) always one of my favorites No issues with parking during this time frame but always an issue if you go in the summer

We did not see very much of Wells or the neighboring towns.

We did not see very much of Wells or the neighboring towns. We arrived late in the afternoon and left early the next morning. From what we could see it was a very nice little town and I would stay there again in the future.
