While the is our 1st year operating as a Bed and Breakfast, we have been here since 2016 and because of the Hale’s history and having survived nearly a century of tropical storms, it is looked to 1st whenever these storms occur. Karma is a very important part of the Hawaiian culture and it is to us as well. providing shelter and sharing whatever we have with those that are displaced by the disasters that are a part of Hawaii’s history. The Hale Naalehu BnB has and will continue to put our neighbors, friends and families first. Our Policy regarding natural disasters, is that whenever we are called upon by the Hawaiian RED CROSS. We will gladly make our home and our hearts available whenever our State of Hawaii declares a state of emergency. While disaster victims dictate how much space we have left to accommodate visitors, We will make efforts to make them welcome whenever possible. During most of these events the island cancels all incoming and outgoing flights until they are able to safely return to normal flight schedules.
