House Rules/Rental Agreement-3920 Wyllie Road, Princeville, Hawaii

Mahalo for booking! You will be a guest staying in someone’s home. Please treat the home and rules with care and respect. The rental agreement needs to be signed and returned within 24 hours of booking. If you do not agree to this house rules you may cancel your booking within 24 hours to avoid any charges even if you booked nonrefundable.

- We allow arrivals / check in until 9pm Hawaii time. Sorry no very late arrivals.

- No smoking of any kind. If you smoke inside the home your reservation will be canceled without refund and you will be charged up to $500 for smoke abatement.

- No pets. Please inquire as to the suitability of service animals.

- No parties or events. Please note the total number of guests that you have listed on your reservation is the maximum permitted occupancy at all times during your stay.

- We have an age requirement of 25-49 years as we have property restrictions such as exterior and interior stairs.

🌺 Footwear Policy – Hawaiian Custom. This is a strictly shoes-off home in keeping with local Hawaiian custom and island etiquette. In Hawai‘i, it is customary to remove footwear before entering a home. All guests must remove shoes and sandals on the entrance lanai before entering. No exceptions. If footwear is muddy or dirty please remove before coming up the stairs. Custom is to leave footwear outside on the lanai.

This helps preserve cleanliness and protect the interior as red dirt stains.

The entrance lanai is provided specifically for this purpose.

Failure to comply may result in additional cleaning charges and/or termination of the stay. Mahalo for respecting island customs and the care of the home.

- This property shares a front entrance lanai with an adjacent private residence. The lanai is for access only and may not be used for sitting, gathering, phone calls, banging or dropping shoes, hanging wet items or towels on railings or walls, storing items, or extended activity. Please utilize your private back lanai for that.

- Adjacent space off entrance lanai is occupied by tenant. They are very quiet, and available should you need something which is great, but please message Host first.

- The entrance lanai is intended for entering and exiting the unit only, including briefly putting on or removing footwear as you come and go. Because this is a shared area close to neighboring occupants, sound can carry easily. We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum and avoid gathering or spending time in this space. Excessive coming and going, running on the steps, or loud activity may disturb neighbors and would not be in keeping with our house guidelines and the community rules.

- Minor children must be supervised at all times within the home and anywhere on property.

- Please do not run up/down any stairs or through the home (outside lanai or inside).

- Quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am (no use of outdoor space during these hours). Please use good judgment and respect our neighbors. Due to local ordinance if we receive noise complaints your reservation will be automatically canceled, and you will be required to vacate the premises. If Princeville Security is dispatched fines are involved.

- This is a multi-unit building. Running, jumping, or excessive impact noise inside the unit is not permitted at any time.

- The walkway leading up to the unit is dark. Please be mindful and safe while walking on them.

- Check-in time is 3:00 pm.

- Checkout time is 10:00 am.

- No same day local guests without prior approval.

- Minimum age of primary guest is 25 years old. Primary guests under 25 please inquire prior to booking.

- Request to please carry your luggage up front stairs, over lanai and throughout the house.

- Please use sink responsibly. Egg shells, dry beans, nuts, stringy veggies, peels, coffee grounds and other hard substances are to be put in the trash, not the sink.

- Only human waste and toilet paper may be flushed down the toilet. Feminine hygiene products, baby wipes or any other materials are prohibited and can cause major issues, at the guest’s expense, to our plumbing.

- Furniture, fixtures and lighting may not be moved or rearranged. Books not removed from home.

- Guests are kindly asked not to increase the temperature dial to the max setting as this may cause the refrigerator to freeze.

- Please remove shoes or sandals and clean all sand and dirt off feet before entering the home. You can rinse - a hose is at foot of front stairs or guests use hose next to pool, dry rags in basket provided. If you go barefoot you absolutely must rinse feet. If you break this house rule it is a minimum $100 extra cleaning fee.

- Please do not leave sandy clothes/towels inside the home, on furniture, in natural baskets or on flooring.

- Please rinse beach gear after each use either at beach or next to pool gate.

- We do have a SUP for guest use - please message a day in advance for setup. There should be a coupon for nominal watersports rentals provided.

- Please use electricity and water responsibly. If you excessively use the AC in primary bedroom, such as to attempt to cool the whole house, usage in excess of 30kwh per day will be charged $25/day.

- Princeville is an island environment and guests should be prepared to encounter lizards, geckos, insects, and other native flora and fauna.

- Please use screen doors at all times if sliders open.

- Trash Removal: Please be advised that trash should be removed regularly during your stay (bags provided) and upon checkout all trash removed from the property and the condition restored to that upon check-in. This includes the removal of all trash and waste products in the kitchen, bathroom and any outdoor areas. Failure to remove such trash will result in a $100 charge.

- Do not put out trash on front lanai.

- No cardboard disposal on property other than pizza boxes. See recycling info on bin.

- No laundering of towels or swimwear that has sand in them. If we find there is sand in the washer and/or dryer or lint buildup you will be charged your damage deposit as Lint filter must be cleaned with each load as machine indicates to you.

- Exterior security camera at front lanai and may be in use in community areas.

- Please note that if you would like to request an early check-in or late check out you may do so, but such requests will not be granted until 24-48 hours prior to the originally scheduled check-in / check out time. Also, please note that in order to accommodate such requests there will be a $25 charge for rescheduling our housekeeper.

- Please feel free to call, text, or use the app (preferred) to contact us if you have any questions about the property or if you need any additional information regarding key retrieval, parking, access or check-in/check-out procedures. Please do not knock on door or disturb adjacent tenant.

- We post inside "Top Tips for Top Guests" guidelines for your convenience for the maintenance of our home-mahalo.

- If anything is not functioning and you wish to inform us, we will work to replace it as soon as possible, but it may not occur during your stay.

- Vacation home is not suitable for a work stay.

- Check In is by lockbox.

- Guests are subject to these rules as well as the condo association rules provided in unit.

- If you break our rules, you will have your booking canceled and be required to leave.

- If you do not agree to these rules you may cancel within the 24hour grace period.

- PRIOR TO ARRIVAL it is your responsibility to review and return this rental agreement of our rules, signed & dated, with a copy of your valid photo government issued I.D. together with a description of your vehicle and photo of license plate number. Once all is received we will send you the unit number and lockbox code so you can check in on time.

Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Please inform Princeville North Shore Retreat - 1200 SF, Lanai, Loft & Kitchen of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.

Quiet hours are between 22:00:00 and 07:00:00.

Guests will receive a rental agreement which must be signed and returned to the property prior to arrival. If guests don't receive the agreement on time, they should contact the property management company at the number on the booking confirmation.
